Third round of consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the UAE

On February 14, 2018 Abu-Dhabi hosted the third round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates. 

The Belarusian Side at the consultations was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrei Dapkiunas, the Emirati Side was headed by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Human Rights and International Law, Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman.

During the consultations, the parties considered the full range of issues on bilateral agenda. Special attention was paid to the development of Belarusian-Emirati cooperation in political, trade and economic spheres, activization of the exchange of visits, as well as to the widening of the legal basis of cooperation. The parties stated the high level of trust between Belarus and the UAE and fruitful cooperation on the international arena especially in the field of Human Rights.

A.Dapkiunas and A.Al Jarman exchanged views on the development of the situation in the Middle East and the Northern Africa regions, considered ways to resolve regional and international conflicts, as well as discussed main trends of development of bilateral and multilateral relations on the post-Soviet space.
