Ambassador of Belarus S.Rachkov visits Algeria

On May 10–13, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Algerian People's Democratic Republic non-resident, Sergei Rachkov, visits Algeria.

During the meeting with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Hassan Rabehi, the sides discussed current state and prospects for development of the Belarusian-Algerian relations. Special attention was paid to the preparation and holding of the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Algeria, expansion of the legal framework of the bilateral relations and establishment of Intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation.

Ambassador of Belarus also met with the Director General of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Trade of Algeria, Benhazil Abderakhman. The parties considered directions for development of the cooperation in the field of trade and increase of mutual trade turnover including through increasing supplies of Belarusian machinery, agriculture and food products.

S.Rachkov took part in the opening ceremony of the Belarusian national exposition at the 50th Algiers International Fair «FIA-2017» and held meeting with representatives of Algerian business circles.
