Ambassador of Belarus A.Guryanov visits Lombardy

On June 29-30, 2016 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Italian Republic, Aleksandr Guryanov, visited Lombardy, where together with the Consul General of Belarus in Milan, Olga Dolgopolova, held a number of meetings with the senior officials of both the region and its’ capital.

During the meeting with the President of Lombardy, Roberto Maroni, the sides discussed expansion of interregional contacts, as well as further development of trade, economic, investment and humanitarian cooperation, including a possible visit to Belarus of Lombard business delegation.

The sides agreed to closely cooperate in order to implement the agreements reached during the recent series of high-level bilateral meetings, as well as the first session of the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Italian Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Similar issues were discussed during the meeting with the Prefect of Milan, Alessandro Marangoni.

The Ambassador of Belarus held a number of meetings with representatives of the local business community, during which the sides discussed specific initiatives aimed at further deepening of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Italy.
