On June 15, 2018 in the Development Bank of Belarus, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, participated in the Forum for developing trade and economic cooperation with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Forum was attended by more than 120 representatives of various Belarusian companies and institutions, as well as the Department for International Trade of the UK and the British Embassy in Minsk.

In his welcoming speech O.Kravchenko stressed the importance of further expansion of business contacts with the UK, which is among the largest trade and investment partners of Belarus last years. In 2017, the United Kingdom took third place in the list of main importers of Belarusian goods and services, and the second one among the main investors into the economy of Belarus. Further development of mutually beneficial cooperation will be facilitated by the launch of the Commercial Dialogue between the two countries. The proper agreement was reached during the first official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, to the UK in March, 2018.
