Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus E.Shestakov visits Cuba

On July 5, 2017 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, is paying a visit to Cuba.

The Deputy Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla. The sides confirmed the strategic nature of the Belarusian-Cuban partnership, as well as their determination to further strengthen friendly relations between our countries in both bilateral and multilateral formats. The parties agreed to hold in the near future a number of joint events aimed at the intensification of cooperation in various spheres of mutual interest.

In the framework of the visit, E.Shestakov participated in bilateral consultations on trade and economic issues, at which the Cuban delegation was led by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investments of the Republic of Cuba, Antonio Carricarte Corona.

During the consultations, the sides analyzed current state of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Cuba, discussed the implementation of joint projects, and outlined promising areas to increase bilateral trade and strengthen cooperation ties. The parties agreed to continue close cooperation and regular consultations on trade and economic issues.
