Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus S.Aleinik meets the Deputy Secretary General of the SCO

On February 26, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Aleinik, met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Nurlan Yermekbayev, who was in Minsk to lead the Mission of the SCO observers to monitor the Elections in the Republic of Belarus.

S.Aleinik thanked the interlocutor for the work conducted by the Mission during their stay in Belarus and for his support in the accession of our country to the SCO as a full member.

The readiness of the Republic of Belarus to fully engage in the work of the Organization, filling the structure with new substance and presenting proposals and initiatives, was noted. 

The parties also exchanged views on topical issues of interaction and discussed forthcoming events within the SCO.
