Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Dmitry Mironchik answers the question of Prensa Latina news agency on the recent events in Venezuela

D.Mironchik: The Republic of Belarus is concerned and worried about the attempts to destabilize the situation in friendly Venezuela.

We oppose acts of aggression aimed at overthrowing the existing authorities in defiance of the Constitution. We express support for the democratically elected President of Venezuela, all reasonable forces of the country calling for a peaceful dialogue, prevention of violence and escalation of political tensions inside the country.

We believe that common sense and aspiration to reach mutual understanding should prevail in this difficult situation. We hope that Venezuelans will continue building an independent and prosperous state in the atmosphere of a dialogue with respect to the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law and order.
