On Belarus-Latvia Ministerial Consultations on “Eastern Partnership”

On September 18, 2014 Belarus-Latvia ministerial consultations on “Eastern Partnership” took place in Riga.
The delegation of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry was led by the head of the Department for European cooperation Mr.Denis Sidorenko. The Latvian side was represented by a delegation headed by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Mr.Juris Poikans.
The sides exchanged views on the implementation and further development of the “Eastern Partnership”, preparation for Riga Summit VI which is to be held in May 2015, and the priorities of the Latvian Presidency in the EU in the first half of 2015, as well as Belarus – EU relations.
The representatives of the Belarusian delegation also had a meeting with the political director of the Foreign Ministry of Latvia Mr.Eduards Stiprais.
