Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

On May 22, 2017 the 26th session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice started its’ work in the UN Office in Vienna. The Belarusian delegation headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the International Organizations in Vienna, Alena Kupchyna, participates in this meeting.

At this session Belarus tabled draft resolution “Implementation of the United National Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons”. Representatives of Belarus will participate in the discussion on implementation of the UN Convention on Transnational Organized Crime and its protocols.

The Delegation of Belarus will take part as a keynote speaker in the side-events devoted to the combatting gender-motivated killings of women and girls, including femicide, as well as on the trafficking in human beings and smuggling of migrants.
