Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus A.Kupchyna pays a working visit to Germany

On June 24-25, 2016 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alena Kupchyna, paid a working visit to Berlin (Germany) to participate in the international conference “OSCE Security Days” titled “From Confrontation to Cooperation — Restoring Co-operative Security in Europe”. The conference was held under the German Chairmanship of the OSCE this year.

A.Kupchyna participated in the discussion on “Forming Coalitions to Respond to Global and Transnational Challenges”, emphasizing the need to overcome the crisis of confidence and focus on the promotion of cooperation between the integration associations in the OSCE region. Special attention was paid to forming of partnerships, as the only sustainable approach to address global and transnational problems based on realisation of Belarussian initiative on combating trafficking in persons within the UN system.

During the visit to Germany, A.Kupchyna met with the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Markus Ederer. The parties discussed prospects for further development of the Belarusian-German bilateral cooperation in various fields, issues of collaboration in the frame of the OSCE, the promotion of Belarus-EU cooperation, as well as the current issues of international policy.
