Opening of the exhibition of contemporary art “From Lisbon via Minsk, Moscow, Astana to Vladivostok”

On April 12, 2018 in Lisbon (Portugal), Camoes Institute hosted the opening of the international exhibition of contemporary art “From Lisbon through Minsk, Moscow, Astana, to Vladivostok”.

The exhibition was opened by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, and the Vice-President of the Camoes Institute.

The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, the academic community, diplomatic corps, non-governmental organizations and the Belarusian diaspora.

The exhibition, organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the Director-General of UNESCO, the Minsk City Executive Committee, presents works of the contemporary artists from 30 capitals of Eurasia.

The co-authors of the idea of the project are the laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus, Professor, Victor Alshevsky, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the French Republic, the Portuguese Republic, the Kingdom of Spain and the Principality of Monaco, the Permanent Representative of Belarus to UNESCO and the World Tourism Organization, Pavel Latushko.

The demonstration of the exhibition in Lisbon is the final destination of the tour, as the project has already been presented in Minsk, Moscow and Astana.

The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for the organization of the exhibition.
