Ambassador of Belarus A.Kupchyna presents Credentials to the Federal President of Austria

On March 2, 2017 at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria, Alena Kupchyna, presented Credentials to the Federal President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current state and prospects for development of Belarusian-Austrian cooperation, including in the context of the 25th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Austria. The parties also considered a number of current issues on the international and regional agenda.

Federal President noted with satisfaction a positive dynamics of the development of the Belarusian-Austrian and Belarusian-European relations and  expressed hope for their further successful development. A.Van der Bellen alsp expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for the activities on the commemoration in memory of the victims of the Trostinets extermination camp, among whom there were about ten thousand Austrian citizens.

Ambassador of Belarus stressed the willingness of our country to expand and promote cooperation with Austria in all speheres, intensify dialogue with the European Union, as well as underlined Belarus’ contribution to regional security and stability.
