Diplomatic Academy of Vienna hosts solemn event dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Austria

On March 24, 2017 Diplomatic Academy of Vienna hosted solemn event on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Austria. The event was organized upon the initiative of the Austrian-Belarusian Society together with the Embassy of Belarus to Austria.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Austria, Alena Kupchyna, addressed the participants of the meeting with the welcoming speech.

The Second President of the National Council of Austria, Karlheinz Kopf, the Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Hans Winkler, the Ambassador of Austria to Belarus, Alexander Bayerl, the Honorary Consul of Austria in Minsk, Sergey Kostyuchenko, and the Chair of the Austrian-Belarusian Society, Peter Bachmaier, attended the solemn ceremony.

The main report on the state and prospects for development of the Belarusian-Austrian relations was presented by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University, Victor Shadursky.
