Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Rybakov meets Canada’s Parliamentary Secretary for Development

On May 22, 2017 during his visit to New York, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Valentin Rybakov, met Canada’s Parliamentary Secretary for Development, Celina Caesar-Chavannes.



The sides discussed the issues of practical work at the United Nations in the context of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Addis Abeba Action Agenda concerning financing for development.

The Belarusian diplomat presented the priorities of Belarus in the field of development and the country's key approaches to financing development. V.Rybakov paid special attention to the preparation of Belarus for the national reviews on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the high-level political forum on Sustainable Development to be held under the auspices of ECOSOC in July this year, as well as to the establishment of the office of the National Coordinator on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in our country.

The sides also discussed the preparations for the session of the OSCE PA to be held in Minsk in June 2017.
