On Belarus-Croatia Consultations on Consular Issues

On September 23, 2014 the first Belarus-Croatia consultations on consular issues took place in Minsk.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Ms.Alena Kupchyna.
The Belarusian delegation was led by the Head of the Consular Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mr.Igor Fisenko, the Croatian – by the Head of the Directorate for European Law, International Law and Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Ms.Andreja Metelko-Zgombić.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of the consular services functioning, including the priorities of visa policy, potential for the simplification of mutual trips of citizens of the two countries, the protection of rights and interests of the citizens of Belarus and Croatia, as well as a number of other issues.
