Workshop «Kazakhstan accession to the WTO. Guidelines for the Republic of Belarus» held in Minsk

On April 13, 2017 Minsk hosted workshop «Kazakhstan accession to the WTO. Guidelines for the Republic of Belarus».

The workshop was organized under the international technical assistance project «Assisting the Government of the Republic of Belarus in Accession to the World Trade Organization through Strengthening National Institutional Capacity and Expertise» implemented in Belarus by the UNDP in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The seminar was opened by Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Chief negotiator of the Republic of Belarus in the WTO, Vladimir Serpikov.

A representative from the Republic of Kazakhstan Zharkin Kakimzhanova was invited as a chief expert.

Over one hundred representatives from republican bodies of state administration, business and other institutions took part in the workshop. During the seminar the Kazakhstan expert shared the experience of multilateral, bilateral and plurilateral WTO negotiations on a wide scope of issues including trade in goods and services, state support of agriculture, SPS, TBT and other issues.
