Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus О.Kravchenko meets the delegation of the federal state of Saxony (Germany)

On August 1, 2018 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Kravchenko, met with the Delegation of the Parliamentary Forum for Central and Eastern Europe of the federal state of Saxony (Germany).

The delegation headed by the State Minister of Justice of Saxony, the Chair of the Parliamentary Forum, Sebastian Gemkov, included more than 10 MPs of the Landtag (Land Parliament) of Saxony, representatives of business circles and educational institutions.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to the Republic of Belarus, Peter Dettmar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further development of the Belarusian-German cooperation, including its’ parliamentary and economic dimensions, expansion of cooperation between Belarus and Saxony, main priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus, as well as topical issues on the regional agenda.

The program of the visit of the Saxon delegation also includes meetings with the Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Myasnikovich, the Minister of Education,  Igor Karpenko, Heads of a number of standing commissions of the House of Representatives, officials of the Minsk City Executive Committee and Belarusian State University, visits to Grodno and Nesvizh.
