Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei meets the new UNICEF Representative in Belarus

On September 11, 2020 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the new United Nations Children’s Fund Representative in Belarus, Tanja Radocaj.
The Foreign Minister congratulated T.Radocaj on her appointment and arrival in Minsk, and wished her fruitful work in Belarus.
The interlocutors discussed further cooperation between Belarus and the UNICEF in the context of new UNICEF Country Programme for Belarus for 2021-2025.
Background Information: the Country Programme was approved by UNICEF Executive Board on September 10, 2020 in New York. Programme activities aim to protect children from violence, create a safe and healthy environment for their development, including in cyberspace, and develop a system of restorative justice for minors.
The parties also discussed joint efforts in overcoming by Belarus the coronavirus pandemic.
During the meeting, V.Makei informed T.Radocaj on the social and political situation in the country.
