Ambassador of Belarus S.Aleinik presents Credentials to the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization

On October 13, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Sergei Aleinik, presented Credentials to the Secretary-General of the IMO, Kitack Lim.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation within the IMO. The Secretary-General welcomed the appointment of Belarus’ Permanent Representative.
The parties also outlined some joint steps to ensure Belarus’ full-fledged involvement in the work of the Organization and exchanged views on the forthcoming IMO Assembly’s 30th session that will be held in London 27 November – 6 December 2017.
