Belarus and Japan Actively Cooperate in Culture

Japan attaches great importance to the development of cultural projects with Belarus which number should be increasing, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of Japan to Belarus Yoshiro Morino reported December 14 in the National press-centre in Minsk.

The project “Partnership of the 21st century” envisages that Belarusian specialists and also students will be invited to come over to Japan to take probation courses and to know the country better. An annual contest for the best skills in the Japanese language in the Belarusian capital aims to popularize the language in Belarus. Representatives of the Japanese Embassy meet with students of Minsk universities to tell them about the land of the rising sun.

The Japanese diplomat has noted that cultural programs are very important for developing bilateral contacts. For example, the Japanese film festival in Minsk was a great success. Exhibitions of Japanese culture are arranged not only in the capital but also in other places of the country.
