Ambassador of Belarus Y.Lazarchik meets Minister of Youth and Sports of Iran

On October 15, 2018 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Yury Lazarchik, held a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of Iran, Masoud Soltanifar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of the Belarusian-Iranian cooperation in the field of sports, in particular the participation of Belarusian and Iranian athletes in competitions held in both countries, exchange of experience in sports training, development of the relevant legal framework.

Y.Lazarchik conveyed to the Iranian side an invitation of the Minister of Sport and Tourism of Belarus S.Kovalchuk to visit Belarusian sports complexes and facilities. He suggested that the Iranian delegation visit our country in the near future to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of physical culture and sport between Belarus and Iran.

M.Soltanifar noted the significant success of Belarus and Iran in some sports and expressed interest in the mutual exchange of experience in relevant sport disciplines.
