Solemn event dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Israel

On April 16, 2017 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the State of Israel, Vladimir Skvortsov, participated in the 62nd annual meeting of natives of Belarus in the Ben-Shemen forest organized by the All-Israeli Association of Immigrants from Belarus on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The event was attended by the Minister of Aliyah and Immigrant Absorption of Israel, Sofa Landver, the Chairman of All-Israeli Association of Immigrants from Belarus, Mikhail Alshansky.

In his statement, V.Skvortsov noted a qualitatively new level of Belarusian-Israeli relations on the eve of their quarter-century anniversary, and stressed that the cooperation of the two countries is based on the foundation of centuries-old experience of friendly relations and good-neighborliness of the peoples on Belarusian land. The Ambassador underlined the importance of the contribution of the Belarusian community in Israel to the development of interstate dialogue.

Whereas, S.Landver stressed the significance of a number of recent events on the bilateral agenda, including the liberalization of the visa regime and the preservation of Israeli diplomatic presence in Minsk.
