Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei visits the Federal Republic of Germany

In the framework of the working visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, to the Federal Republic of Germany, on October 21, 2019, the Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry addressed the German Foreign Policy Society, one of the most reputable analytical centers in Germany. The event was attended by more than a hundred representatives of German political, diplomatic, expert and academic circles.

In his speech, V.Makei presented the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus, as well as  drew the attention of the audience to a number of significant international initiatives of the leadership of our country, in particular, the launch of a wide inclusive international dialogue on security issues, the adoption of a declaration by responsible countries on the non-deployment of medium and shorter-range missiles in Europe, as well as the formation of the “digital neighborhood belt”.

On October 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus held meetings at the Federal Chancellor Office and the German Bundestag, and also gave the interview to one of the leading German media outlets, the newspaper “Süddeutsche Zeitung”.
