Appointment of the first Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Belarus

On July 27, 2015 the ceremony of the appointment of the first Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Shuglya took place at the Embassy of Belarus in the Russian Federation.

For the effective work as Honorary Consul of Belarus in Tyumen that reflected in strengthening trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and the Tyumen region, the Government of  the Republic of Belarus made a decision to designate Vladimir Shuglya for a higher position with the expansion of his consular district to Tyumen, Omsk and Kurgan regions. The decision was supported by the Government of the Russian Federation.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Igor Petrishenko handed the consular patent and exequatur to the Honorary Consul General.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region — Yugra Fanuza Arslanova, Deputy Governor of the Tyumen region, Head of the Representation of the Government of the Tyumen region in the Government of the Russian Federation Pavel Tarakanov, the representative of the Government of the Omsk region in the Government of the Russian Federation Andrei Ishkov, Head of the Representation of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region in the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zakharov.
