On the February 8, 2018 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Vyacheslav Beskosty, met with the Minister of Education of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education and manpower development. Nigerian Side was informed about the capacities of Belarusian educational system, particularly, in such areas as medicine, information technologies, engineering, agriculture.
V.Beskosty emphasized that the Belarusian side is ready to consider any proposals of Nigerian side concerning the development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of education, in particular, the issue of encouraging talented students from among Nigerian citizens to study at Belarusian universities.
The Nigerian side expressed interest in developing further cooperation with the Republic of Belarus in the field of higher education, as well as professional and secondary specialized education.
