On October 31, 2014 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Mr.Vladimir Makei met with the Director of the Department of Continental Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France Mr.Éric Fournier and the participants of the regional meeting of the Ambassadors of France to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.

Belarusian Foreign Minister touched upon Belarus-France relations, briefed the participants of the meeting with foreign political and economic priorities of the Republic of Belarus at the present stage, focusing on the issues of our country’s relations with the EU and cooperation within the CIS and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Mr.Éric Fournier from his side noted that Belarus was not occasionally chosen to host the regional meeting of the Ambassadors of France, as it is located in the centre of Europe, and plays an important role in the EEU.
