Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Norway

On December 11, 2018 Minsk hosted next round of the Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Norway at the level of the Deputies Foreign Ministers.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oleg Kravchenko, the Norwegian delegation was led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Audun Halvorsen.
During the consultations, the dialogue on topical bilateral issues, initiated by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial meeting in Milan on December 6-7, continued.
A wide range of topics of the Belarusian-Norwegian relations in the political sphere, interaction in the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN, was discussed. The sides also considered the issues on the regional agenda, prospects for cooperation to strengthen nuclear safety.
The parties noted with satisfaction the positive trends in the Belarusian-Norwegian trade and underlined its’ mutually beneficial and balanced nature.
